Ashley Levett – Chairman
Ashley Levett has over 30 years’ experience in the metals industry and is the Founder and principle shareholder of Levmet Holdings Limited. His career began at Holco Trading Company, a subsidiary of ED&F Man, where he was director responsible for all non-ferrous trading. After establishing a global forward copper trading business for Drexel Burnham Lambert, he left to form his own successful trading company in the late 1980’s. Following his success in the commodities trading business, he established Fairfx Group PLC in 2005 - the UK’s largest online currency provider. Fairfx PLC is a publicly quoted company on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market with a market capitalisation of circa. £180m and is regulated in the UK by the FSA and Customs & Excise.
Andrew Campbell – Chief Executive Officer
Andrew has been instrumental in the growth and development of Levmet from day one. He is an English qualified solicitor and has an MBA from Imperial College London with over 10 years’ experience in trading environments. Andrew began his career advising tier one investment banks and some of the biggest hedge funds and asset managers in the world, including Goldman Sachs, GLG, Citadel, Tudor and Credit Suisse, on trading, capital and funding issues. Following this, Andrew moved into commodities and has subsequently worked in and with successful businesses across most major sectors
Paul Chivers – Vice-Chairman
Paul has over 30 years’ experience in finance and capital raising in the energy and commodities sectors. A former banker with BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank, Paul has led many asset backed financings globally. Paul also held senior roles with Enron and Mercuria most recently as CIO and board member of Mercuria Energy in Geneva. Paul is a non-executive director of Levmet.
Antonio Novi - Head of Hedging Services
After graduating in 1987, Antonio started working with Kaines in London, ultimately becoming the manager of the company’s cocoa project in Nigeria. On his return to London, Antonio worked on the LME desks of Drexel Burnham Lambert, PaineWebber and Mitsui, where he was responsible for managing the metals futures desk. Antonio moved to Monaco in 1996 to start his own company dedicated to providing hedging solutions related to commodities. In 2011, he joined forces with Ashley Levett to create Levmet. Antonio is responsible for bulk commodities and hedging.
Rafael Tognon – Chief Risk Officer
Rafael started his risk career in 2006 as a market risk analyst with Itaú Unibanco, the largest private sector bank in Brazil. In 2010, he joined Standard Bank Brazil as a risk manager for the Rates and FX desk. Rafael moved to London in 2012 to work as a Commodities risk manager for the newly formed joint venture between ICBC and Standard Bank, covering all commodities products and physical operations. Prior to joining Levmet, he also worked for ING Bank N.V in London as the Head of Commodities Derivatives Risk. Rafael has a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Masters in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. Rafael is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
Colin Gresham – Financial Controller
Prior to joining Levmet, Colin worked as a senior auditor at Moore Stephens LLP based in Monaco, where he obtained his ACCA qualification. During his 7 years as an auditor he specialised in the audit of investment companies and ultra-high net worth family offices. He was also heavily involved in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls procedures. Colin oversees the day to day accounting and treasury function, and all financial reporting and statements.
